NxtWave is looking for interns who are passionate about content creation, social media trends, and campus life. As a Social Media Marketing Intern, you will work directly on campus, capturing student stories, events, classroom moments, and achievements to build an engaging and relatable Instagram presence.
This role focuses heavily on Instagram Reels and short-form video content, making it perfect for aspiring digital marketers and content creators.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Capture, edit, and publish 1 Instagram Reel per day for the regional NIAT Instagram page
- Coordinate with students and campus clubs to source content ideas
- Create engaging short-form content such as:
- Reels
- Student interviews
- Vox pop videos
- Behind-the-scenes clips
- Classroom moments
- Event highlights
- Maintain a daily content log including:
- Topic
- Content format
- Posted link
- Performance metrics
- Stay updated with Instagram trends, hooks, and editing styles
- Collaborate with the Regional Social Media Strategist for planning, review, and scheduling
✅ Requirements & Skills
🎥 Technical & Creative Skills
- Basic to good video editing skills
- Tools preferred: CapCut, InShot, Instagram Editor
- Strong interest in social media, reels, and storytelling
- Understanding of Instagram trends and student culture
🗣 Language & Communication
- Knowledge of regional language to interact with students
- Ability to approach students confidently for content
👤 Other Skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable appearing on camera (optional but preferred)
