About the Script Writer Role (Tamil)
As a Script Writer at Lokal, you will craft short-form scripts that perform across platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. Your writing will directly impact CTR, watch time, and audience retention.
This role blends creative storytelling with performance marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Write compelling scripts under 60 seconds with strong hooks
- Create content for reels, teasers, and ads across platforms
- Adapt writing style based on platform behavior and audience psychology
- Simplify complex ideas into relatable, regional storytelling
- Translate copy into clear visual imagination for editors and designers
- Collaborate with creative teams to judge and improve content quality
- Stay updated with trends, formats, and evolving content styles
Requirements & Skills
- Strong understanding of short-form storytelling
- Mastery in writing attention-grabbing openings (hooks)
- Knowledge of ad metrics such as CTR, watch time, and drop-off rates
- Ability to write for multiple platforms and content formats
- Understanding of visual language and how scripts convert to visuals
- Basic knowledge of camera shots, pacing, and transitions
