Core Responsibilities & Scope of Work
The Operations Staff position at Blue Dart balances two major functional pillars: managing end-to-end delivery performance and coordinating efficient customer pickups.
1. On-Field Delivery Operations
- Shipment Loading: Ensure route-wise loading of logistical packages with an exact inventory tally.
- Customer Distribution: Safely navigate routes to deliver shipments to the correct domestic and commercial customers.
- Process Documentation: Handle critical payment and delivery tracking frameworks, including Proof of Delivery (POD), Forward Delivery (FOD), Delayed Delivery (DOD), and Cash on Delivery (COD) processing via delivery run sheets.
- Status Updates: Update accurate status logs and proper disposition codes for any undelivered shipments.
- Target Achievement: Strictly adhere to Estimated Delivery Dates (EDD) to constantly achieve the company’s strict Service Quality (SQ) benchmarks.
- Reconciliation: Hand over all accumulated COD, DOD, and FOD cash/documentation to the hub supervisor on the same day, along with any undelivered parcels.
- Professional Standards: Execute specialized appointment delivery processes while maintaining a strict dress code and a customer-first approach.
2. Hub & Customer Pickup Operations
- SOP Adherence: Perform pickup activities sequentially in line with Blue Dart’s Standard Operating Procedures.
- Timeline Management: Manage time-sensitive customer collections efficiently to clear daily cut-off windows.
- Airwaybill & Documentation: Execute Airwaybill (AWB) numbering accurately and gather necessary regulatory transport paperwork.
- Package Auditing: Check and tally physical packages against commercial invoices directly at the client’s site while verifying package conditions before acceptance.
- Logistics Connection: Maintain precision tracking sheets and hit target hubs promptly to secure timely transit connections.
