About Amazon NOC (Network Operations Center)

The NOC serves as the central command and control hub for Amazon’s vast ‘Transportation Execution’ across North America (NA), India, and Europe (EU). The team ensures that freight moves seamlessly from vendors to Amazon fulfillment centers (FCs) and finally to carrier hubs.

When a shipment hits a delay, or an exception occurs, the NOC team steps in to solve the problem in real-time, analyze network data trends, and design automated processes to streamline Amazon’s global supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

As a Transportation Specialist, your day-to-day operations will involve data analysis and tactical execution:

• Exception Management: Monitor real-time freight movements and step in to resolve operational disruptions across geographies.
• Data Analysis & Automation: Dig into historic logistics data to find underlying trends, identify system bottlenecks, and propose automated process changes.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain precise written and verbal communication with internal teams, including Customer Service (CS), Last Mile (LM), Fulfillment Centers (FC), and Human Resources (HR).
• Process Improvement: Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance the granularity and accuracy of actionable data.

Eligibility Criteria & Skills

Basic Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Statistics is mandatory.

Required Skill Set

• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to explain complex logistics data simply and concisely.
• Analytical Mindset: High attention to detail with proven capabilities in data evaluation, mediation, and problem resolution.
