What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)
As a Purchasing Associate within the Purchasing Support Center, you will handle tactical purchasing activities delegated by buyers across global Volvo Group truck, bus, and Penta sites. Your daily responsibilities will include:
RFQ & Order Management: Launching Request for Quotes (RFQs), handling supplier queries, tracking quotes, and maintaining Handler Logs/aftermarket requisitions.
Cost & Quote Analysis: Compiling and analyzing supplier quotes, preparing cost breakdowns, and delivering price summaries to buyers.
Data & Business Analytics: Generating strategic reports for management, including Price Inconsistency Analysis, 80/20 Analysis, ABC Analysis, Volume Trend Analysis, and building comprehensive Supplier Spend Dashboards.
Supplier Integration Support: Administering supplier bases, managing Supplier Portal access, tracking Parma Codes, and assisting in establishing secure EDI connections.

Education: University degree in BE / B.Tech specializing in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical & Electronics (E&E), or Industrial Engineering.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Office, with an emphasis on Advanced Excel and data programming skills.
Domain Knowledge: A solid fundamental understanding of different manufacturing processes and best-practice costing methods.
