Key Responsibilities

As an Accounts Receivable Process Executive at Cognizant, your daily tasks will involve:

• Invoice & Payment Processing: Managing daily AR tasks, validating billing, applying customer payments to open invoices, and resolving discrepancies (short payments/overpayments).
• Ledger & Audit Support: Maintaining accurate customer ledgers and updating records to support internal controls and audit readiness.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Working with sales operations and customer service teams to address invoice queries and support revenue recognition.
• Collections & Analytics: Monitoring aging reports to identify priority collections, tracking Overdue Invoices, and assisting management with AR performance reports.
• Month-End Closing: Performing routine reconciliations, verifying transaction completeness, and preparing simple financial schedules.

Eligibility & Skills Required

• Educational Background: Foundational knowledge of finance, accounting principles, and AR processes (invoicing, collections, cash application).
• Additional Exposure: Familiarity with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) or Accounts Payable (AP) is advantageous.
• Work Flexibility: Willingness and capability to work in a structured hybrid environment on night shifts.
• Communication & Tech: Strong verbal/written communication skills and eagerness to learn global ERP platforms and finance tools.
• Certifications (Optional/Preferred): Certified Accounts Receivable Specialist or equivalent entry-level accounting credential.
