The Indian Army has released the official notification for the 145th Technical Graduate Course (TGC-145) for the course commencing in July 2027 at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun.
This recruitment drive offers 30 regular vacancies for eligible unmarried male engineering graduates. Candidates who clear the shortlisting based on engineering marks will be called for the SSB Interview. Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be commissioned as Lieutenants in the Permanent Commission of the Indian Army.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must possess a B.E. / B.Tech degree (or M.Sc Computer Science) in the relevant engineering stream specified in the official notification.
- Final-year Engineering Students can also apply, provided they pass their degree examination with all mark sheets submitted before July 1, 2027.
Age Limit (As on 01.07.2027):
- 20 to 27 Years as of July 1, 2027.
- Candidates must be born between 01.07.2000 and 30.06.2007 (both dates inclusive).
Pay Scale & Allowances
- Stipend during Training: ₹56,100/month during the 12-month training period at IMA Dehradun.
- On Commissioning (Rank of Lieutenant):
- Basic Pay: Pay Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500)
- Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500 per month
- Additional Dearness Allowance (DA), Transport Allowance, Kit Allowance, and Risk/Hardship Allowances as per Army rules.
Selection Process
The Indian Army selection process for TGC-145 involves no written entrance examination:
- Shortlisting of Applications: Applications are shortlisted based on cumulative percentage of engineering marks up to the pre-final semester/year.
- SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates choose their SSB center (Bhopal, Prayagraj, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar) and date on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Medical Examination: Conducted by a military medical board for SSB-recommended candidates.
- Final Merit List: Merit list prepared stream-wise based on SSB marks subject to medical fitness and vacancies.
