The Directorate of Children Welfare and Special Services (DCWSS), Chennai has released Notification No. 01/2026 for contractual recruitment across the Tamil Nadu State Child Protection Society (TNSCPS), State Adoption Resource Agency (SARA), and the WCD Control Room – Child Helpline.

Post-wise Eligibility Criteria

1. Program Officer (PO):
   • Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Social Work / Sociology / Child Development / Human Rights / Public Administration / Psychology / Psychiatry / Law / Public Health / Community Resource Management.(OR) Graduate in any of the above disciplines with 2 years of experience in project formulation, implementation, monitoring, and supervision (preferably in Women & Child Development/Social Welfare). Computer proficiency required.
   • Age Limit: Not exceeding 42 years.
2. Accounts Officer (AO):
   • Qualification: B.Com / M.Com (10+2+3 pattern) with at least 3 years of experience in the Accounts Department of any organization.
   • Age Limit: Up to 60 years (Preference given to candidates with relevant knowledge/experience).
3. Accountant (ACCT):
   • Qualification: Graduate degree in Commerce or Mathematics with at least 1 year of experience in the relevant field. Proficiency in computer skills and Tally software is required.
   • Age Limit: Up to 60 years.
4. Assistant cum Data Entry Operator (DEO):
   • Qualification: 12th Pass with a Diploma/Certificate in Computers + at least 1 year of experience working with Government or Non-Governmental Organizations.
   • Age Limit: Up to 60 years.
5. Account Assistant (AA):
   • Qualification: 12th Pass (Commerce with Accounts stream) + Diploma/Certificate in Computers + at least 1 year of experience with Govt / NGO.
   • Age Limit: Up to 60 years.
6. Program Assistant (PA):
   • Qualification: Any Degree (10+2+3 pattern) + Basic Knowledge in Computer with Data Entry. Candidates must be fluent in English and Tamil.
   • Age Limit: Up to 60 years.
7. IT Supervisor (ITS):
   • Qualification: Graduate degree with at least a Diploma in Computers/IT + minimum 3 years of experience in data management, process documentation, web-based reporting formats, and video conferencing at state/district levels. Preference given to candidates with Child Helpline or emergency helpline experience.
   • Age Limit: Up to 60 years.
