Amazon’s Transportation Operations Center (TOC) is the heartbeat of its global supply chain — managing smooth freight movement between vendors, fulfillment centers (FCs), and carrier hubs. This team ensures on-time delivery, resolves exceptions in real time, and drives automation to make Amazon’s logistics even more efficient.
As a Transportation Representative (Trans Ops Specialist), you’ll coordinate between multiple stakeholders — vendors, carriers, warehouses, and internal Amazon teams — to guarantee that every shipment reaches the right place at the right time.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- 📡 Act as a central point of contact between external partners (carriers, vendors, suppliers) and internal teams (retail, finance, FC operations).
- 📊 Retrieve, analyze, and report data using tools like Excel, Access, or SQL to identify trends and support decision-making.
- 📈 Define and track performance metrics to drive operational excellence.
- 🛠️ Collaborate with Amazon’s tech teams by outlining business and functional requirements for system improvements.
- ⚡ Quickly assess operational trends and make impactful decisions based on real-time data.
- 🚨 Escalate issues promptly to the right owners and ensure timely resolution.
- 🧠 Prepare weekly performance reports and present insights in review meetings.
