- Timely pickup and delivery of freight
- Smooth movement of goods from vendors to Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FCs)
- Efficient transfers from FCs to carrier hubs
- Quick resolution of transportation exceptions

Role Overview – Transportation Specialist (Central Operations)
The Transportation Specialist role is part of Central Operations, which serves as a single point of contact for managing:
- Route planning
- Scheduling
- Payments for last-mile stations
This team primarily supports the LATAM and AMET regions.
The role requires strong analytical thinking, ownership, communication skills, and process improvement expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with business and operations teams to resolve customer escalations
- Analyze historical transportation and network data
- Identify trends in network exceptions and propose process improvements
- Improve visibility tools, reporting methods, and operational processes
- Own customer issues end-to-end and drive resolution
- Initiate and update SOPs and process changes as required
- Communicate effectively with internal teams such as:
- Customer Service (CS)
- Middle Mile (MM)
- Last Mile (LM)
- Fulfillment Centers (FC)
- Transportation Program teams
- HR teams
- Handle incoming work requests within defined SLAs
- Conduct audits to ensure SOP compliance and associate engagement
- Assist shift managers during shift execution
- Work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Required Skills & Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, mediation, and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Leadership mindset with a bias for action and ownership
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Educational Qualification
Basic Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field, such as:

Technical Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (mandatory)

- Knowledge of programming languages such as:
