Job Purpose
The Associate Manager – Acquisition role involves direct customer interaction and focuses on the acquisition of Current Account customers for assigned bank branches. The role requires explaining and selling banking products, supporting the Sales Manager in catchment mapping, and acting as a bridge between customers and the bank to deliver best-in-class customer service.
The position plays a critical role in driving new client acquisition, strengthening customer relationships, and maximizing customer lifetime value to support broader organizational goals.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Acquire New-to-Bank (NTB) Current Account customers from identified segments
- Generate references from the assigned catchment area
- Ensure acquisition of high-quality current accounts with the right product and segment mix
- Proactively register and activate customers on digital banking channels
- Achieve and exceed monthly acquisition targets by understanding customer transaction banking needs
- Support the Sales Manager in catchment mapping and opportunity scoping
- Provide regular customer and market feedback to SM / RM
- Follow all selling norms, SOPs, and compliance guidelines
- Ensure sourcing quality in line with bank policies and regulations
Secondary Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of market awareness
- Understand evolving customer needs and expectations
- Collaborate with branch teams to deliver customer-centric solutions
- Ensure seamless coordination across departments for superior service delivery
