Key Responsibilities
🚚 Delivery Operations
As part of the delivery team, the candidate will be responsible for:
- Route-wise loading of shipments with accurate tally
- Delivering shipments to the correct customers on time
- Handling POD / FOD / DOD / COD processes and maintaining delivery run sheets
- Updating proper status codes for undelivered shipments
- Ensuring EDD (Expected Date of Delivery) and SQ targets are met
- Handing over COD/DOD/FOD collections on the same day
- Submitting undelivered shipments to the supervisor
- Managing appointment-based deliveries
- Following proper dress code and maintaining a customer-centric approach
📦 Pickup Operations
The role also involves pickup responsibilities such as:
- Performing pickups as per standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Ensuring timely pickup from customer locations within cutoff times
- Executing airway bills correctly
- Verifying shipment tally with customer invoices
- Collecting all relevant regulatory documents
- Maintaining pickup sheets accurately
- Checking the physical condition of packages at pickup
- Reaching hubs/locations on time to ensure proper shipment connection
Skills & Qualities Required
- Basic understanding of courier & delivery operations
- Ability to follow SOPs and operational guidelines
- Good time management and route planning skills
- Customer-friendly attitude
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
- Physically fit for field and delivery work
