Key Responsibilities
- Accurately interpret and process cheque instructions
- Handle assigned work volumes to meet performance targets
- Prioritize and complete tasks as per standard operating procedures
- Manage customer calls (if applicable) following HSBC service standards
- Maintain high awareness of compliance, AML, and regulatory requirements
- Complete end-of-day checks and support team leads in meeting SLAs
- Ensure investigation work is completed within SLAs to avoid risk
- Reconcile internal suspense accounts daily with zero discrepancies
- Support training and performance monitoring of new team members
- Participate in cross-skilling and process enhancement initiatives
Additional Responsibilities
- Attend process calls with stakeholders for updates and changes
- Review procedures monthly and communicate updates to the team
- Perform audit checks and ensure compliance readiness
- Handle escalations and resolve business or customer queries
- Provide administrative and access-related support when required
- Suggest and implement process improvements
- Build strong working relationships with business partners
- Support implementation of new technologies in cheque processing
- Contribute to continuous improvement and best practices
Skills & Requirements
- Good understanding of banking operations and cheque processing
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle escalations and stakeholder communication
- Knowledge of MS Office and keyboard shortcuts
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-growing business environment
