Job Overview
- Role: Operations Associate – Merchant KYC

- Experience: 0 to 2 Years (Freshers are welcome!)
- Industry: Fintech / Digital Payments / Banking Operations
- Work Schedule: 6 Days Working (Rotational Shifts – Day Shift Only)
What is a KYC Specialist at PhonePe?
The Know Your Customer (KYC) Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that every merchant on the PhonePe network is verified and compliant with Indian regulatory standards. You will be the gatekeeper of trust for the offline merchant business.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Validation: Verify the authenticity of Proof of Business, Identity, Address, and Financial Identity submitted by merchants.
- SOP Adherence: Strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure 100% accuracy in document approval.
- Fraud Detection: Identify suspicious document patterns and escalate potentially fraudulent activities to the management team.
- Compliance Management: Handle sensitive data in a time-bound manner to meet strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Eligibility & Requirements
- Education: Any Graduate (Freshers from 2023, 2024, and 2025 batches preferred).
- Language: Mandatory reading proficiency in English. Proficiency in a regional language (Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, or Malayalam) is a big plus.
- Skills: High typing precision, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential data.
- Mindset: A “can-do” attitude with a focus on high-quality scores and compliance.
