🧾 Job Role – Research and Exceptions (Merchant Financial Services)
The Research and Exceptions Specialist will manage transaction exceptions and perform critical back-office operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and financial reconciliation across multiple business units.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Handle front-end and back-end transaction rejects
- Resolve debit exceptions accurately and promptly
- Process ACH rejects and returns
- Research and resolve missing deposits
- Perform monetary adjustments and reconciliations
- Handle equipment billing queries
- Respond to back-office requests (contracts, statements, ACH returns)
- Collaborate across multiple business units
- Maintain transaction documentation and compliance
- Prepare audit and management reports
✅ Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in financial operations or payment processing
- Knowledge of ACH processes and exception handling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
