The 1,524 positions are distributed among four major operational refineries:
Gujarat Refinery: 647 Vacancies
Paradip Refinery: 582 Vacancies
Mathura Refinery: 151 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following eligibility conditions as of June 30, 2026:
1. Educational Qualifications
IOCL is hiring across diverse academic backgrounds. A minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD) in the qualifying exam is required:
Data Entry Operator (Fresher): Class 12th pass (non-graduates).
Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate): Class 12th pass + National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) Domestic DEO certificate.
Note: Candidates possessing higher professional degrees like B.E./B.Tech, MBA, MCA, CA, or LLB are not eligible to apply for these positions.
2. Age Limit
Minimum Age: 18 Years
Maximum Age: 24 Years
Age Relaxations: SC/ST gets up to 5 years, OBC (NCL) gets 3 years, and PwBD candidates get up to 10 years of relaxation.
How the Selection Process Works
Unlike many corporate and government exams, the IOCL Apprentice program features a simplified selection method:
Merit Listing: Candidates are shortlisted based entirely on the marks secured in their qualifying examinations (ITI, Diploma, Degree, or 12th standard).
Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted applicants will be verified at their respective selected refineries.
Pre-Engagement Medical Examination (PEME): Meeting prescribed medical standards is the final step to formal enrollment.
