Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following eligibility conditions as of June 30, 2026:

1. Educational Qualifications

IOCL is hiring across diverse academic backgrounds. A minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD) in the qualifying exam is required:

• Trade Apprentice (Fitter/Mechanical): Matriculation (10th) + 2-year ITI Fitter course.
• Attendant Operator / Boiler Discipline: 3-year B.Sc. in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, or Industrial Chemistry.
• Technician Apprentice (Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation): 3-year Diploma in the respective engineering stream.
• Trade Apprentice (Accountant): 3-year B.Com degree.
• Data Entry Operator (Fresher): Class 12th pass (non-graduates).
• Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate): Class 12th pass + National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) Domestic DEO certificate.

Note: Candidates possessing higher professional degrees like B.E./B.Tech, MBA, MCA, CA, or LLB are not eligible to apply for these positions.

2. Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 24 Years
• Age Relaxations: SC/ST gets up to 5 years, OBC (NCL) gets 3 years, and PwBD candidates get up to 10 years of relaxation.
