Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in medical data entry or US healthcare billing processes.
Technical Skills: Strong keyboarding speed, high accuracy, and familiarity with medical billing or practice-management/CRM software.
Domain Knowledge: Understanding of US health insurance frameworks, payer portals, and claim formats (CMS-1500 / professional claims).
Communication & Compliance: Clear written English communication skills and strict adherence to healthcare privacy/HIPAA security protocols.
Preferred Background: Prior exposure to emergency medicine/hospital medicine billing or handling claim edits and rejections.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
Demographic & Insurance Entry: Enter, verify, and update patient demographic details and insurance coverage records accurately.
Claim Validation: Review source documentation and validate claim details prior to submission to minimize errors.
Rejection Handling: Correct assigned data-related claim rejections and edits to support efficient revenue processing.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, complete account notes and escalate complex or inconsistent cases following SOPs.
Performance Standards: Consistently meet target metrics regarding entry accuracy, turnaround time (TAT), and transactions per day.
