What You Will Do
- Build high-fidelity websites and web applications using HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.
- Contribute to and participate in Canonical’s living style guide, Vanilla Framework.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including UX designers, visual designers, and backend developers.
- Maintain existing sites, publish new pages according to specifications, and ensure brand consistency across Canonical’s product portfolio.
Required Skills & Experience
- Frontend Tech Stack: HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React component libraries.
- Responsive Design: Proven experience designing UI/UX for diverse browsers and screen sizes.
- Best Practices: Knowledge of SEO best practices, web accessibility standards, and web performance optimization.
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git.
- Timezone: Located in EMEA / Asia Pacific aligned timezones.
- Education: University degree or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working on large-scale React + TypeScript projects.
- Contributions to Open Source projects.
- Familiarity with Linux desktop environments or backend languages (Python / Node.js).
