Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
- Age Limit (as of 31.08.2026):18 to 24 Years
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST +5 years, OBC-NCL +3 years, PwBD up to +10 to +15 years.
Educational Qualification:
- Trade Apprentice (Fitter / Electrician / Electronics / Instrument / Machinist): Regular 2-year ITI course recognized by NCVT/SCVT (Pass marks required).
- Technician Apprentice (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / Civil / Electronics): 3-year regular Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Graduate Apprentice (BA / B.Com / B.Sc / BBA): Regular Graduation degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Data Entry Operator (Fresher): Class 12th Pass (below graduate level).
- Data Entry Operator (Skilled): Class 12th Pass with a Domestic Data Entry Operator Skill Certificate (NSQF recognized).
Ineligibility Note: Candidates with higher professional degrees (B.E., B.Tech, MBA, MCA, CA, LLB) or candidates with 1+ year of prior job experience/apprenticeship are not eligible.
Stipend Details
- Monthly Allowance: Statutory stipend rate under the Apprentices Act + an additional ₹2,500/month paid by IOCL (MD) NR towards miscellaneous expenses.
- Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT): Government share for Graduate and Technician Apprentices will be transferred directly via DBT into an Aadhaar-seeded bank account.
Selection Process
- Merit List: Prepared strictly based on the aggregate percentage of marks secured in the prescribed qualification.
- Tie-Breaker: Older candidates (by date of birth) are given higher priority; secondary tie-breaker is higher Class 10th (Matriculation) percentage.
- Document Verification & Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates must undergo document checking and clear a pre-engagement medical fitness test (reimbursement up to ₹3,000 provided for medical test costs upon producing receipts).
