📊 About the Role
As a Data Science Analyst in Shell’s Digital Process Twin (DPT) portfolio, you will work with process event data to generate analytical insights that improve business process efficiency and performance. You’ll collaborate with experienced data scientists, engineers, and process analysts, gaining exposure to process mining, analytics platforms, and enterprise data systems.
The Digital Process Twin Centre of Excellence (CoE) at Shell is a global leader in process intelligence, collaborating with academic institutions and technology partners to drive innovation.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cleanse, and transform process event data for analysis
- Perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to identify trends and anomalies
- Build dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, Plotly Dash, etc.
- Support feature design for process performance and predictive models
- Assist in maintaining data pipelines and process data models
- Integrate data from enterprise systems like SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow
- Support process mining initiatives using tools like Celonis EMS, SAP Signavio
- Contribute to documentation, testing, and quality assurance
- Develop understanding of Responsible AI and Explainable AI (XAI)
🎓 Eligibility & Skills Required
✅ Mandatory Qualifications
- 0–2 years experience in Data Analytics or Data Science
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Computer Science
- Data Science
- Engineering
- Mathematics
- Related quantitative fields
🧠 Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python & SQL
- Experience with pandas, NumPy
- Basic understanding of Machine Learning / Statistical techniques
- Data visualization using Power BI, Tableau, Plotly Dash, Matplotlib
- Understanding of data quality, ETL, feature engineering
➕ Good to Have
- Exposure to process mining tools (Celonis EMS, SAP Signavio, PM4Py, ProM)
