TNSTC Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 1518 Posts (Graduate, Diploma & General Stream)

The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC), along with the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) Chennai and State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) Tamil Nadu, has published the official TNSTC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification. This drive aims to engage 1,518 Apprentices for a 1-year training program across various divisions in Tamil Nadu.

Candidates with B.E./B.Tech, Diploma, or General Undergraduate Degrees (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BBM, BCA) who passed in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or May 2026 are eligible to apply online through the NATS Portal.

Vacancy Details & Stipend Breakup

The 1,518 apprenticeship slots are categorized into three main streams:

1. Graduate Apprentice (Engineering): 457 Posts | Stipend: ₹12,300/- Per Month
2. Diploma Apprentice (Technician): 438 Posts | Stipend: ₹10,900/- Per Month
3. Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering): 623 Posts | Stipend: ₹12,300/- Per Month

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualifications

• Graduate Apprentice (Engineering): First-class B.E./B.Tech in relevant engineering branches from a recognized university.
• Diploma Apprentice (Technician): First-class Diploma in Engineering/Technology from a recognized State Board of Technical Education.
• Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering): Full-time Degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, or Management (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BBM, BCA, etc.) from a UGC-recognized university.

2. Passing Year & Residency

• Candidates must have graduated in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or May 2026.
• Applicants must be domiciled residents of Tamil Nadu.

3. Ineligibility

• Candidates who have already undergone or are currently pursuing apprenticeship training elsewhere are not eligible.
• Candidates with 1 year or more of prior job work experience cannot apply.

Selection Process & Timeline

1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the aggregate percentage obtained in their respective degree or diploma exams.
2. Certificate Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for physical document verification at the designated TNSTC regional office (tentatively at Trichy).

2. Click on Student Register (for new users) or Student Login (for existing registered profiles).
3. Complete registration to obtain your 12-digit NATS Student Enrolment Number.
4. Under the Establishment Search / Apprenticeship Opportunities section, search for TNSTC / MTC / SETC establishments.
5. Apply for the respective Graduate, Diploma, or Non-Engineering Apprentice vacancy before 28 August 2026.
